Calais Common Area

Situated in the heart of South Surrey, Calais was created as a playful yet polished community, blending clean modern lines with gentle Japandi influences inspired by the nearby coastal landscape. As the lead interior designer, I guided the entire design process—from selecting interior suite finishes to shaping the finer details of the common areas. This included thoughtful space planning, careful material sourcing, lighting design, custom millwork, and the full selection of FF&E.

I collaborated closely with the rendering team to ensure the visuals captured the true spirit of our design. These renderings played a key role in internal presentations and supported the marketing efforts at the Sales Centre. I regularly joined coordination meetings with architects and consultants to review and align the architectural floor plans, resolving any issues before moving into programming and schematic design. Throughout the project, I worked alongside construction, development, and marketing teams to keep the vision clear, cohesive, and within budget.
